DATA DELETION POLICY

Send an email to privacy@paytitan.ng with the subject “PayTitan data deletion request”. Include the name, phone number or email address associated with your account and state whether you want to delete your entire account or specific information. Never send your password, PIN or one-time verification code.

To protect your account, we may ask for reasonable information to verify that the request is yours. We will not ask for your PayTitan password or PIN. If we cannot verify the request, we may be unable to complete it.

When your request is approved, we will delete or anonymise account information that we no longer need, including your profile and certain app data. We will also stop using your information for optional communications, subject to technical processing time.

Deletion does not require us to erase information that we must retain by law or that is needed for legitimate purposes. We may retain:

• Transaction, identity and audit records required by financial, tax, anti-fraud or anti-money-laundering rules.
• Information necessary to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud or protect security.
• Aggregated or anonymised information that cannot reasonably identify you.

Retained information will be protected and used only for the purpose that requires retention.

We may need to complete, reconcile or investigate pending transactions before closing an account. Closing your account does not cancel a payment that has already been submitted to a biller or payment partner.

We aim to acknowledge requests promptly and complete verified requests within the period required by applicable law. We will confirm when deletion or account closure is complete, or explain why some information must be retained.
